"Kick It in the Sticks" is a single from "Halfway to Heaven," the second studio album by American country rock music artist Brantley Gilbert. The single was written by Brantley Gilbert, Rhett Akins, and Benjamin Hayslip. The album was produced by The Atom Brothers, and was originally released on March 16, 2010 via Average Joe's Entertainment. The deluxe version of the album was released on September 13, 2011 via Valory Music Group. This re-release featured remixes of all the tracks, as well as several new tracks that were not on the original version of the album.
