Dionne Bromfield and Tinchy Stryder’s collaboration "Spinnin for 2012" has been confirmed as the first official song for the Olympic Torch relay! This summer on July 27th the Olympic Torch reaches the UK after it’s long journey from Beijing, marking the start of London 2012’s “year to go” campaign.
London hosting the Olympics next year is arguably one of the most significant cultural events to happen in the UK for decades, and Dionne is delighted to be involved in this way.
Dionne says, "It's such an honour to be a part of our countries Olympic story and I'm also thrilled to be working with Tinchy Stryder!"
The lyrics for the song, originally written and recorded by Speech Debelle, have been re-written by Tinchy & Dionne to produce as uplifting and inspirational song as you’re likely to hear all summer.
“Spinnin’ For 2012” will be available from July 25th through Island Records
